TRAINING COURSES AT QEEG
Introduction to our training courses at QEEG
In-depth insights with Quantitative EEG (QEEG)
Take your diagnostic skills to the next level with the help of modern brain mapping.
The classic EEG has proven itself a valuable tool in neurology for decades – especially for obvious disorders such as epilepsy or acute head injuries. However, when it comes to more complex or subtle disorders such as ADHD, depression, anxiety, or autism, the conventional EEG reaches its limits.
What is quantitative EEG?
The Quantitative EEG (QEEG) – also known as brain mapping – uses state-of-the-art digital signal processing and statistical EEG databases to to visualize functional deviations in brain activity.
Based on this precise analysis, high-resolution brain mapsthat reveal typical neuronal patterns in mental, neurological or developmental disorders.
What are the advantages of QEEG?
✅ Objective biomarkers to complement clinical diagnoses
✅ Better differentiation of disorders (e.g. ADHD vs. depression)
✅ Individualized therapy planning based on specific neural patterns
✅ Follow-up for the evaluation of interventions or medication
✅ Valuable support for Psychologists, doctors, psychiatrists and Neurofeedback-Therapists
HOW DOES IT WORK?
The QEEG compares the client’s brain activity with age-related norm values from international EEG databasesThis allows deviations to be reliably detected – similar to how high blood pressure is diagnosed, for example.
This neurophysiological markers allow symptoms such as anxiety, impulsivity or cognitive disorders of a to assign a specific neuronal basis.
Who is this course intended for?
The course is aimed at:
- Therapists with basic knowledge of EEG or Neurofeedback
- Doctors, psychologists and neuroscientists
- Professionals who want to integrate evidence-based diagnostics into their practice
Your benefits
After completing this course, you will be able to professionally perform and evaluate QEEG measurements and use them specifically for diagnostics, therapy planning and follow-up.

Why IFEN?
The IFEN is one of the pioneers of Neurofeedbacks in Europe. Founded in 2008 in Munich by Thomas F. Feiner, we are now a leading training institute for therapists, physicians, and healthcare professionals. Our approach combines scientific foundation, intensive practical experience and human proximityso that participants gain not only specialist knowledge but also security and confidence for clinical application.
We are convinced: Every brain is unique – and that's how training should be, too. That's why we offer consistently up-to-date content, personal supervision, ongoing support, and an international community that shares experiences and offers support. With this philosophy, hundreds of therapists have already started their careers in Neurofeedback and enabled real changes in the lives of their patients.
Frequently asked questions and answers (FAQ) ...
What requirements do I need to meet for the training and work? or the cash registers take over Neurofeedbacktreatment? Answers to these and many other questions about training at IFEN and working as a NeurofeedbackYou can find a therapist here.
What does the Neurofeedback-Training at IFEN unique compared to other providers, such as the German Society for Biofeedback?
A key difference lies in the scope and focus of our training. At IFEN, we are guided by the international standards of the Biofeedback Certification International Alliance and complement these with a wide range of continuing education courses that are practical and diverse.
Our participants benefit not only from in-depth theoretical knowledge but also from intensive, individualized support: Personal mentoring, supervision, and the opportunity to complete internships ensure optimal support for the learning process, especially during the first few months. We are the only provider to assign each participant an experienced mentor with practical experience, who provides individualized support and contributes their expertise directly from their professional lives.
In addition, we teach topics that are not part of the curriculum of other providers such as the DGBFB – including Z-ScoreTraining, sLORETA-Neurofeedback and ISF (Infra-Slow Fluctuation).
How much are the course costs (training to become a certified Neurofeedback-Therapists IFEN)?
- Module 1 - 5-day course: 1750,00 € / person.
- Module 2 - Internship: €150,00 per unit. At least 2 units are required for the Module 5 internship. Total price for Module 2 = €750,00 / person
- Module 3 - Supervision: €150,00 per unit. At least 3 units are required for Module 5 Supervision. Total price for Module 3 = €750,00 per person
- Module 4 - Examination: flat rate 250,00 € / person
- For in-house training, flat rates apply, which allow for an appropriate discount depending on the number of participants.
What requirements do I need to meet for the training and job?
The training to become a certified NeurofeedbackTherapists require medical knowledge. You can only work as a therapist in the clinical field if you also have a medical background. Of course, as a naturopath, you can also Neurofeedback If you do not meet any of these requirements, we recommend that you attend our Peak Performance courses.
I have no idea about computers – but I can still Neurofeedback learn?
The software is easy to understand and can be learned even by those who are not computer-savvy.
Are there continuing education points?
Typically, you can submit the certificate to earn continuing education credits. Here you will find further information.
Where do I register for internship and supervision? Online, by phone or by email?
Internships and supervision must be registered online on this website. The procedure is the same as when registering for a seminar.
When does the exam take place?
The exam can take place in several forms. Usually during the internship or online. With the new exam via our online exam platform, the exam can also take place in your own practice.
How much does it cost for the corresponding Neurofeedback-Devices?
NeurofeedbackDevices are affordable. Good devices are medical devices and cost around €3500,00, including software.
Do the health insurance companies cover the treatment with Neurofeedback?
Occupational therapists can be involved in the overall treatment Neurofeedback as a therapeutic tool. Doctors and psychotherapists can Neurofeedback billed as behavioral therapy, among other things.
Is the training linked to specific devices or systems?
You can use your own Neurofeedbackequipment, but should wait to purchase, as we can offer you a tailor-made solution based on our experience.
How much does a therapy session cost Neurofeedback on average?
As a private service, between €40,00 and around €100,00 are charged. The price depends on many factors. The geographical location is also a decisive factor. A QEEG can cost up to €600,00.
How many treatments are necessary? Do the treatment results last?
The therapy usually takes effect after the first 10 sessions. It usually takes another 20 sessions for the improvements to stabilize. Depending on the severity of the disorder, more or fewer sessions will be necessary. Most patients experience a permanent improvement in their symptoms.
